Yes , I can afford it. The problem is gas mileage

Make sure to price insurance. When I was 20, (man, that was awhile ago!), I was going to buy an LS1 Trans Am. I got all of my finances figured out and agreed on a price, then I checked insurance. It was almost as much as the car payment. Needless to say, I didn't get the Trans Am. So anyways, make sure you call the insurance company with a VIN number off of any of those cars you are thinking about.

Oh, and I would go for the SS.

Please, whatever car you decide be careful. At 21 that is a lot of power and responsibility.

THIS! Insurance may kill you. You may be able to afford everything, but make certain you have enough left over so you can sock money away in a savings account too.

22 year old just bought a ZL1 in my area. He bought the car without thinking about the insurance first. At 20 years old, you most likely are looking between $500-$1100 a month for insurance.

BTW I love the Camaro5 community!
The ZL1 is good for a 21 year old with alot of smarts, common sense, maturity a good job or just alot of money. If this is you get a ZL1.

$3400 every two weeks is great money for ANYONE my friend. I'm 26, have a bachelors and a career job, I don't make $3400 a month

But granted I do live in MS, and the average family income for someone in my town is like 21k...I don't see how people do that :|

i'd say save up the money for a house instead. a better investment. especially with the low interest rates right now. i work in an oil refinery and make similar money to you and i'm trying to buy a house right now. it's really hard to do. the difference though is i've got a wife and 2 kids, with a 3rd due in May. wish i had started saving/looking earlier.
