Slow throttle response

Was at the dealer yesterday and saw several 2016s. A sales person started up a 2SS (manual) for me, let me sit inside and gas it. It seemed like the throttle response was slow. I was not expecting this as everyone here has been talking about how responsive this car is. I asked about it but the salesperson did not have much to say. On p. 223 and 224 of the manual it talks about a "throttle progression mode". Is there a setting somewhere that allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the throttle? Could this car have been adjusted towards the less sensitive side?

Did you try putting in Sport or Track mode? If there's still a little lag in those modes, a few of us here have installed this and it fixes that problem:

I have found that there the gas pedal is stiffer and doesn't feel as touchy in track mode as it does in sport mode. I thought track mode would be a little more seat of your pants feel, but it isn't. That is by design, though. I am sure that on a track, it will make a difference that it isn't as punchy as sport mode. It may be that they had it in track so that the exhaust is always wide open.

Didn't even know about this thing. Good info for the future.

That makes sense. Thanks.

In addition to, tour, sport, snow/ice and track modes is there individual adjustment to throttle progression, engine sound, steering, Stabilitrak, MRC, launch control and traction control or are they all automatically set within tour, sport, snow/ice, track?

Exhaust note, suspension, and steering can all be de-coupled via the MyLink screen, assuming you have the appropriate options (NPP exhaust and MRC). Everything else is tied to the specific mode. Launch control is only available in the competitive mode traction control setting (double tap TC button while in sport or track).
