HP Tuners Install

I am trying to install HP Tuners on my Galaxy Book 2 and running into issues. The program installs fine, but it won't open. I click open on the editor and the scanner and nothing happens. MPVI2 device shows power when connected to tablet. Help?

You have to make sure the drivers are installed, connect to the car in accessory mode(press and hold start button with foot off the brake for 5-10 seconds), open VCM editor, click the micro chip with green arrow, select read entire.

You must be connected to the internet for first read. You also need your device added to "my devices" on the hpt website under your control panel.

Update: I added the tuner to my devices and my 8 credits show up now. Thanks guys! I tried to link the car with VCM Editor and it still says Detect Protocol failed. I tested a few different ways to open the program and I always get the same result. Should I also link my device to VCM Editor before trying to read the vehicle?

On the 2018's I believe you must use the newest Beta version of HPT. (That might have changed since I did mine, IDK) Im not sure what your other question is exactly?
When you plug the car into your lap-top, you will need to resync on the first attempt if I remember correctly.

Yep, I am using the new Beta Version. So frustrating. It won't connect to my car. Will literally PayPal someone to set this up for me.

No need for money. You can do this. Lets walk through exactly where your at here.
You have created your hpt account, added your device to my devices list, purchased necessary credits. You have an internet connection, the car is in accessory mode, plugged in device and laptop and used the resync feature. Then attempted to read the file?

I will add this: with my MPVI2 device, I have noticed it will not connect to the vehicle sometimes if I dont plug it in to the obd2 port first, and wait a few seconds before plugging in the other side to the lap top. You should also hear an audible "chime" when plugging into your laptop, letting you know its connected.

I didn't do the resync or the steps to plug in the port first, then laptop. I will try again when I get home from work.

Hey Anti_venom, you're in Jersey City, right? I can drive over to your place today after work and help figure out your setup. This thing should just work. I can bring my own MPVI2 and laptop, PM me with details if you're interested.
