You need to put the NJMP times that you already have up in the lap time thread.
I totally understand it being a rant - I used to autocross fully street-legal cars that weren't SCCA-legal below the 'Prepared' category. Norm

And now some of those 'street' classes allow modifications that make a vehicle illegal on the street in some states. Funny how that goes.

What did the stock door weigh then?
The carbon fiber door looks like a nice piece!

Nicky, other than beating up on Moe in HPDE, which organization (NASA/SCCA) and class are you building toward?

Endurance team wants me to drive for them in 9 hr races with AER. So that should be fun. I tracked Camaro 7-8 times but getting comfortable and familiar. I will probably run T1 but car is way heavy against the T1 C5 that weight 3050 Last edited by NickyRacerBoy; 01-15-2019 at 08:34 PM. |

Joe A is a friend of mine. His shop built my C5Z to the previous T1 spec from a few years back. My SS ILE will be going to him in March for alignment and maybe a few other tweaks. |

One of my clients was heavily into racing on National level and will also help me. He recommends to do some NASA events. Yeah Joe a is a wealth of knowledge. I tried to get him to align my car but he's just too busy. guess I caught him at the busiest point of the season. I get it he has a clients that take priority. Why don't you come out with us at Moe's first event? I got to admit though I like doing a lot of the work myself I don't like relying on people I've always found its best to learn to do things yourself. I was broke 15 years ago basically homeless. Got where I am today all by myself and my family. |

Joe's business is feast or famine. He always tries to get me to leave my Corvette with him right at SCCA season end so he can work on it over time, but I'm funded by my bonus check which doesn't come until March and I like to know how much of a budget I'm working with before I start letting him talk me into things. I do a lot myself and used to do a lot more, but work, business travel and not having my own lift (yet) have cut into my time. Alignment was never on my list of skills though. Brakes, brake lines, brake cooling ducts, fluids, harness bar and harnesses all on my personal list. Alignment, solid cradle bushings and other suspension tuning tweaks are on my Joe list. |

Yeah I replaced my engine after a tossed rod.
Did camber plates new clutch harness bar new full roll cage. Done By myself and the help our friends. James will try to make a couple events to I like driving with him it'll give me a tow and make me faster. Lightning I've gone mid 11 seconds with a somewhat clear track would love to do low 9 on a test and tune day |
