So recently I purchased a *ick performance 95 ported TB.. and I began to have issues with the TB after a tune ....After 2000-3500 Rpm the engine would start to lose power. Has anyone else experienced that? MODs: MSD, Kooks headers, Catchcan, Tune, MBRP exhaust.

Mine still going strong. I wonder if it has something to do with tune, maybe talk to tuner about putting stock tune back in to test it out. If it still messing up I would reach out to tick

That sounds like it is going to be a tune related issue to me. My car had some problems with the throttle trying to close around 5800 rpm under a wide open pull. It would close off to about 50% for a second then it would open back up all the way.

I am not the tuner, so I can't be much help when it comes to that. But I know we were able to fix my issue with ease.

Tick - How can you tell when the throttle is closing at wide open? via HPTuner scanner? if so, what pid are you looking at?

PS. I have ported 95mm TB as well and my dyno operator said that it looks like the throttle is closing under wide open too.

Yes, you can see it in a tuning log. But Its pretty easy to feel it happen when it goes from wide open to half open and then back to open.

Have any of you checked your idle timing after installing the 95MM TB ? I bet you will be surprised at what some of you will find. example, one car ran and idled perfect but if you look at idle timing it is in the negative, -4 to be exact. put stock TB back on and it idles at 11 degrees.
