How hard was that to make i was thinking of custom making a box myself for my subs but not sure on how much air flow they would need....and not sure how i would design it yet either..

Based off your statement, I would say you are in over your head. These boxes were made by making a mold of the inner trunk walls, and building a box from around that. it will be difficult and full of trial and error if you dont know what design you want, or how much air they need. I am not sure of the final air space numbers for these boxes, I need to see about double checking on monday... but they are made with a pretty good bit of air space. enough to handle most all subs. The key to them is that they can be made the same size, with less air space, to match up to certain speakers. You need to know what speaker you are going to run, and build a box around that speaker.... or just let somebody else do all the hard work for you, and buy a pre-built box.. be it this one, or any other.

The box is made before the speaker hole is cut out. The only thing that would be needed, is the air space may be a little big for that sub.. which isnt really a problem, because when putting the box together, the airspace can be tweaked
