So that’s why The Challenger’s sales are so far ahead of the Camaro's?

I guess it has nothing to do with introducing new models every year, lots of advertising or highly visible marketing programs like this one.

yeah... he's saying people keep buying dodge because they keep breaking down..... makes total sense right?

If reliability was that bad, People wouldn't keep buying them

Sales have nothing to do with reliability, smarty pants. if that was the case Ferrari, Mclaren, & Lambo, also Maserati would be out of business.

also
sarcasm does not go over well here ya overly emotional guys. man....

I know 3 guys with Challengers, the only guy who has every had any trouble with his is the one who has been modding it.

Apparently, the hemi is a glass engine. It is fine in stock form, but tends to grenade if you mod it.

Our LS and LT motors are far more robust.

Consider how much a Hellcat costs and $7900.00 is not a lot of money off on the car! It does help but the offer wouldn’t make me go out and buy one. I’m happy with my ZL1!

So to be clear - you guys want GM to drastically reduce the cost of new Camaro's, so that indirectly the (resale) value of your current Camaro is also drastically reduced?

I'm in the opposite camp - every time I see these massive rebates on Camaros, I cringe. While I fully recognize that automobiles are a depreciating asset, I'm certainly not going to wish for the depreciation to be artificially accelerated.

The 6.4 Hemi doesn't like boost. The other Hemi engines are better in that regard. Nothing wrong with Dodge. It sells because it's a better car for the masses that need a useable back seat. That is why you see Chargers everywhere...The Camaro is like a 2.5 seat car so it appeals to a much smaller group of potential buyers. Discounting the Camaro wouldn't change much...it's simply not a practical platform for most.

A guy I work with drives one. I followed him most of the way to work on my long commute yesterday. He floored it at every light smoking everyone and I drove normal for about 25 miles, end up right behind him at the last light nearest to work. I think he was hoping I would pull up next to him at the light so he could smoke me in my 2018 GTI. He floored it there again, heard the engine roar, he tried to get out in front of a diesel truck ahead of him that just pulled out where the lanes merged 2 into 1, the diesel truck punched it, huge cloud of black smoke along with a roaring diesel and the diesel smoked him. I got to watch nicely from way behind. He must have burned more gas on that one drive than I do all week. I don't like Challenger, Hellcat or Charger, would never consider one.

$7,9700 off a car that starts at $71,350 (MSRP) puts it squarely in the price zone of ZL1.
And you get 150 extra horse, so figure mod money on top of that to pump up the Z

Since, this offer expires on Sept. 3rd, I'm going to go with it being classified as a "sale".

sale
[sāl]

NOUN

2. a period during which a retailer sells goods at reduced prices.
"a clearance sale"

Also, I'm really sure that the guy who buys your car is going to give you top dollar as well because "he wants to prop up the resale value" too.
