AEM Wideband Failure
Quick poll: How long has your wideband sensor lasted before it failed?
My sensor failed approximately six weeks after install. It's still reading, but it's accuracy is toast. At idle when the car was in closed loop it would fluctuate between about 15.5 and 14.6. Now it's reading between 17:1 and 14.5:1 at idle. Going full throttle it's going as rich as 8:1. Ordered a new Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor for $35. I do get a ton of water in my exhaust when the car is cold, so I'm guessing that is what killed the sensor.

There's not an option for it not failing so I picked over a year. Mines on over two years old and still going strong. At least 20k miles. Probably just jinxed myself here ...

AEM
The sensor is mounted in the left bung of the ARH X-Pipe.

I had ARH weld an extra bung for the Wideband.

It looks to be about 45*, so that seems like it's clocked "greater than 10*".

Confirmed. Replaced the sensor and the wideband now functions normally.

Does the sensor have to be in the collector or can it be in the catted connection pipes? Just had my headers coated and did not plan accordingly?

Yea it will be before the cat hopefully there is enough room on the connection pipes to do so. I’d love to not Jack up the coating

I am on my 5th or 6th sensor in a year's time. I've changed it twice in the last 3 weeks due to a failed sensor that originally worked for about 3 days, but then started bouncing around from 14-27, & then eventually the gauge read "Sens". My bung is at 9:00, so I'm guessing I need a new bung placed between 10:00 & 2:00 so it is angled per the instructions. I called AEM a few months ago when I initially hooked it up, but the gentleman I spoke to there said the angle does not matter, so that is why I never changed it. But I think it's time since I'm tired of changing it out.

3years and no failure. Mine is welded in the cat delete pipe on driver side close to the factory o2.
My guess is those with repeated failures have the sensor to far back in the exhaust and they are not getting up to optimal temp... especially with headers.

I plan on moving mine right past where the headers end. Hopefully this will fix my issue.
