How did you stake them? I don't believe there is a hole in the axle for a stake to go through...

Shop manual calls for a hammer and suitable punch to stake the outer collar of the nut into the slots after torquing.

Any chance you could post the entire section of the shop manual for this job? Just want to make sure I don't miss a step. Can the new nut be torqued with the rear suspension unloaded, or does it need to be loaded? I wouldn't have known to peen the outer nut flange over without this info. Thanks in advance.

I uploaded the entire manual to Dropbox. It's a chonker of a PDF at 236MB.
Start at page 4632, and let me know if there is any trouble with the link. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3dblnnpnhp...anual.pdf?dl=0 Edit: I would download the file and navigate with Adobe Acrobat, Reader or equivalent. It is broken up into sections that are much easier to see and get through with a decent PDF app.

Mine were staked and loosening up to the stake mark. I just hit mine with the electric impact and they tightened quite a bit, i will continue to do this every so often. A lot of ugga uggas is just fine torque for me on a 36mm nut.

Picture of the axle nuts?
Can someone post a picture of these axle nuts? I bought a 2017 2SS convertible a few months ago. Just turned 19K miles. Want to heck them on my car. Is it obvious once you take the wheel off?

Once you take the wheel off it is the big 36mm nut in the center of the hub... Looks like a crown, can't miss it...
