Yes allocations should be coming - my dealer was just supposed to get there’s this week (Thursday) which is odd being almost highest volume dealer in US - they “assume” was prob pushed back a week Bc of truck plant shutdown but that’s just an assumption. So hopefully next Thursday.

Love getting updates from Joe. My car is TPW for 8/23 but is already at 3400. Can't go much further without being built.

I am so excited and can't believe there is a chance I could get the car before the end of September.

Wish I had ordered with Joe earlier. I’m too far into this process now to start over I think even though the damn car hasn’t even been ordered. Believe Joe is to the point of no ETA now as well.

Could you offer insight as to which dealers have allocations, and also good to deal with. I am interested in ordering a 2022. With Camaro sales way down, is below msrp a possibility.

Me thinks there might be discounts in Dec / Jan

It amazes me that there in Florida, just like here in Texas, the dealers take the default black interior instead of some of the ones that are more colorful or cooler. One of the main factors that led me to ordering mine was wanting to get a cool color, so I got Ash Gray. Black is the last color I want for the seats when the temps are 100+.

I wish that were true for most, but unfortunately, that is incorrect. Order will sit at 1100 unless the dealer has an allocation for any Camaro. Once the dealer gets an allocation, the next move is 2000. My previous order was at a dealer with no allocation, my order had been at 1100 since I ordered. When calling my dealer last week they told me the did not receive an allocation and may not get one in August. I called around to a couple other dealers local, found one with an allocation and ordered through them. My order immediately went to 2000 upon entering the order. My order was for a 2SS.

I don’t even have an order number to check status and I’m told I won’t get one until they get an allocation. How do you go about checking your order status anyway? Do you have to have a competent dealer for that?

If they have even bothered to submit your order to GM it will have an 1100 status code. Once that is done they have an order number and a good dealership will provide it to you. They could be sitting on the order hoping for an allocation before they take the 5 mins or less it would take to enter the order

Once GM accepts that order that is when you know the dealer has an allocation and it has been assigned to your order. At this point you are golden and in normal times would be 13-14 weeks away from a car.
