Hi, not street legal per GM. It i s being used in a primarily road course track car. Power up high, not really a street cam. Hope this helps.

Ahh understood, I kind of assumed most aftermarket cams would be non-street legal. Thanks for the info!

Update, car is back together, revs like mad and while it carries power way higher (like no drop until 7300) it really needs headers and refined tune to match new exhaust to support this cam. Katech team has ordered ARH 1 7/8 kit with no cats back tied to the factory NPP.

I will hold off on sharing the interim results, as it is simply not optimised yet.

Will update asap... . Hoping to be complete for Chin @ Daytona Sept 4th and 5th...

Tim

I personally would love to see/hear about these results, even though it is choked up.

Trust me, I will.share both sets of data. But let's get the second, as we can all look at it at one time.

Be advised, headers are loud, and will be even more so with no cats whatsoever. Probably will flunk sound limits at some tracks now.

Here is the result without headers. Yes, this cam kills torque, power is lower than expected. Katech team was surprised also, but stated it does idle well, drives and pulls hard at top end. I will simply have to change my driving style and keep the revs up. American Racing headers should be installed soon, if not this week. Signed up for Daytona in September with Chin so lap times will tell the truth. We discussed adding an MSD, but they felt that was not was not going to add much more than 5 hp. Note, Mike also stated their dyno uses SAE and is very accurate and does not give any gifts, so these are real life numbers. Should improve with headers and Katech work is top notch, so it will last for years of tracks days...
Will post after headers and re-tune....

Hmm, with just the LT2 intake manifold it pulled 418.79 hp and 407.42 lb/ft, so it only gained 29.71 hp, and it lost 21.65 lb/ft of torque, adding the ported heads and the hot cam kit. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, would not recommend this cam. It did move where it makes the power which will help in a road course. The torque drop was more than expected...
