Watching Mike's (Magnuson) video on his C7 was a good little preview into what it takes to swap it all. Is that car all stock other than the blower-swaps?

Coils have to be moved just a little, Speed Engineering is making a billet set like Billy got or you can modify your stock valve covers by removing the bolt bosses as we did using a modified bracket. Once I get my valve covers back from Magnuson today or tomorrow I'll start my own post on the stuff that has to be done. Cordes Racing just made 1006 at the wheels with our 2650 on a C7 Z06 on 16 psi boost, you can see the dyno pull on their facebook page.
Damn, Greg. Why does it seem like you're always right up against things time wise lol! Sure hope you get 'er done in time for the fest. It looks like I'll be the wimpiest car at the Magnuson tent with my little 2300...

Yes, CARB application has been submitted, it normally takes anywhere from 3-6 mos for it to be tested and approved.

Should drop this week, can't spend as much time on tuning as I'd like, but it's a monster. Below are the numbers of the combinations below on my Z06.

Stock is what the car baselined at on 91 octane.

TVS2300 - all stock except TVS2300 and K&N intake on 91octane.

TVS2650 - all stock except TVS2650, NW 102mm TB and GM intake on 91octane.

Seems more tuning is needed with the TQ values so low. Doesn't seem balanced on that test.

Hey Jim glad to hear your going to be hanging out with us at the Camaro Fest. Billy's Zl1 2650 will be with us also, he's waiting on the final tuning to be completed. Probably this weekend so yes right down to the last minute I'm sure. I'll get there, blowers getting here Wednesday and install Saturday is the plan.

WOW!!! Must have!!!

Even if you take into account that the 2650-test ran out to 7K RPMs, it's still an 80-horse' improvement over the 2300.

Curious, stock boost to stock boost going from the stock blower to the 2650. Are there any expected gains?

The 2300 is showing 3 pounds less boost than the 2650 test. I’d have to think if the 2300 was pullied to run the same boost, it would have probably closed that HP gap entirely?

Minimal at best.

Doubtful, the 2300 was already operating outside its efficiency range. Going further down the path provides less gains and even more heat.

Maybe. It seems to me it would take more power to turn the bigger rotors so perhaps the power from additional flow of the larger rotors might be offset a little from the additional drag. Wouldn't less heat be generated by spinning the rotors slower? If so, that seems like a plus. Also - there's an IG-post about this car (I believe) showing that at about 19-psi, with METH, the 2300 (Heartbeat) was pushing near the same power as the 2650 at ~15-psi. Lower boost is less heat and no need for METH at that power, so that sounds good to me.

If I recall what I've seen about this design is that it's efficiency is at higher pressures, so there's more usable headroom with these rotors. Along those lines, the competitor I was thinking about earlier in this thread has CARB-certification at 14-psi, so, to me, that means it's totally okay (as far as CARB cares) to run near about what that dyno graph shows, which is encouraging to me. Not everyone has to worry about CARB, but for those of us that do, this is great news so far as I can tell.
