Exhaust system

So I’ve had my 2015 ss for a couple of months now.. and I think I’m going to get an exhaust for it, however I’m not sure rather to buy an exhaust system or to do something along the lines of straight piping it. I want it to sound nice and loud and MEAN. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Start with a set of Longtubes and Offroad connection pipes and go from there. I have them both in stock let me know if you'd like a set.

worried about warranties? only bring it up since some "stealerships" could void you on a future repair, others don't give an f...need to find out since any exhaust work should be coupled with a tune...

cats are biggest restriction and biggest change in sound, can go H/F or off-road if no emissions..

traditional wisdom is to work from the front back..I am very satisfied with my results, costs were low and all I need to do is add j-pipes to reduced the drone...not bad in the summer but with the windows up now it's a bit much...another thing to consider.

good luck..keeps us posted!

In the long run, OP, you will (trust me) end up with headers. Stick with the traditional (and proper) wisdom by doing it right the first time. Start with headers, hi-flo cats on stock exhaust and work your way from there. Bare in mind....the more components you remove the greater the possibility of drone increases. If you are worried about warranty. ....wait till you are ready to commit.

I did a muffler delete... Not that loud or does that have the tone I would love but it was a nice start... cost me $150 for that work.

If you are going to do an exhaust do an exhaust. Don't waste your time with axle backs. You'll see no gains and it'll just be louder and you'll shave a couple pounds (maybe). With a full catback you'll gain a few extra ponies and shave a good amount of weight off. Not only that but axle backs never sound as good as a full catback.

I know all the axleback guys aren't going to like this post but spend the few extra $$$ and get a real exhaust. Then longtubes of course.
