Sold the car...

Recently sold the car (spontaneously but with some regrets ) so I am unloading the extra stuff I have for the car. Other posts will go up for the new 6-pt roll cage, 5-pt harness, oem brake pads, BMR links, etc.

Moved on to a 991.2 Turbo S (in eye popping Miami Blue) and am starting to look for a dedicated track car with lower consumable costs (single seater like a Thunder Roadster GTR).

Loved the ZL1 1LE and was by far the hardest car I ever got rid. Tons of fun and rips around the track! I may get another one when the last model year runs, but for now, onto the AWD life around town. The 991.2 Turbo S does not disappoint thus far in the mtn roads in Colorado!

Nice upgrade, congrats - you're in the upscale wine club now, leaving rednecks behind

991.2 Turbo S is a great track car, not as pure as a GT3 RS but lap times are close due to the AWD and mega torque. Get some extra wheels for that and you're all set.

If the TT fits the same wheels as the GT3RS, you will find a ton of lightly used (~1 day) PSC2 on Ebay in 265-f/325-r for $600-700 a set or less if you shop carefully. For some reason, GT3 RS ppl seem ditch tires after a few sessions, I guess they like new tires for every day.

Even the heavier TT (vs GT3) will probably consume tires much slower than a ZLE, you might get 4+ good days out of a set of these used PSC2s.

Nice car. its amazing what they can do with a 6 cylinder but at the end of the day for me it just doesn't cut it. Now if they made one with an 8 cyl lots of torque and hp with a manual trans and changed the look of it I would be all over it.

Congrats man!!!

I plan an doing something similar next year, except going from the SS 1LE to the PDK GT4

The 6th Gen. is a great platform and the Alpha chassis is amazing. It's the most complete car I have ever had, so I get the hard to get rid of thing, but I am dying to get into a light weight, mid engine platform, high revving, PDK. It will also be my first Porsche, which is on my bucket list.

The issue and reason why you find those tires on eBay is that PSC2s heat cycle out very very quickly- with almost full tread left. I have personal experience of that and for that reason alone I don’t like to use them.

You must have different standards than me for what qualifies as lots of HP and TQ.

The 992 S version has 640 HP and 590 lb-ft, if it's anything like the 991 Turbo I drove it hits like a freight train and pulls you forward at warp speed.

The turbos seem to have no lag, and the amazing PDK and AWD put the power down so all you have to do is mash the throttle for perfect 2.5 second 0-60 launches and 10.5 1/4 mile runs every time.

I love my ZLE but I prefer the 911 design, and the interior is high quality luxury.

I want one but at over $200k, the Turbo S is beyond my budget. I'm happy that Chevy created the ZLE, IMO the world's first true supercar under $75k.

A six year old can track an all wheel drive car. Boring.

A rally dirt road is a lot more exciting than a paved track with AWD

I had a ~650 HP Evo X track car for 4 years, and it was anything but boring on track. The four wheel drifts were a lot of fun.

Congrats, I always am looking at '17+ Turbo S' as I think they are the 'best' all arounder made today! Had a .2 GT3 and a .2 GT3/RS, and still thought about the Turbo S! Great buy!

Launch control is unreal in the 991.2. I have always loved and drove raw feeling cars, but this is just something else when it comes to sticking to the road. Loving it so far!
