My car is out of warranty, Anyone else change it? Just want to confirm you use the 15mm bolt on the tensioner pulley moving it down to release tension.

Yes, 15mm socket, counterclockwise motion. EDIT: at least for the tensioner for the larger belt(I'm supercharged, dont remember what it looked like stock.).

EDIT AGAIN: 15mm clockwise for the tensioner with the spring/boot, then remove the 15mm bolt at top and 13mm at the bottom, leaving the torx bit and pulley bolts alone.

But you said it was leaking. That's a very clear symptom that something is wrong.

There is no spring bolt. Only one bolt 15mm on the pulley, one torx bolt and 2 mounting bolts to the block.

The new tensioner does not come with the bracket there is a 13 mm on the bottom of the cylinder there is a Torx bit on the top of the cylinder and then there is a 15 mm on the pulley I assume you turn the pulley clockwise to reduce spring tension.

I just need to know where you place the wrench and which direction you go I assumed down to decrease spring tension on the pulley so I can remove the belt.

I said above, 15mm socket on the tensioner and turn clockwise. The bolt on the pulley. Once you look at it with the belt you'll see how that will pull the pulley away releasing the tension.

Yes put your breaker bar on the bolt on the pulley and push down clockwise. After that just remove the two bolts in your picture and install the new one. You're going to have to push the tensioner down again to line the belt up but it's a super simple job and should take you no longer than 15mins.

It failed on my '14 Corvette Z51, making a metallic tick noise at certain speed. It was replaced under the certified car warranty.
