the 2010 thru 2015s seemed to be more popular. I still see many more of those out and about than I do with the 6th Gen.

The 6th gen performance and quality wise is greatly improved. I can't see why it wasn't as popular.

Jury is still out on that one, but there are quite a few threads already discussing it with much fervor

Back in 2019 I had the chance to get a new 2018 2SS with all the features I wanted. It was the perfect model but I thought I could have gotten a better deal on a used 2017 model that was going for 32K starting. The new one starting at $35,999.

The used got sold and the new one got sold right after.

I would do anything to go back and tell myself to just buy the damn new car.

Been search ever since but to no avail. Now the used ones that are similar to the used ones in the past are ranging middle 30K range or high 30K. I found one with similar features but with no MRC with a dealer but he was selling it for 36K. Offered the dealer for 33K OTD. Told me "Thanks for the reply. Good luck."- Sincerely, douche bag sales rep and never emailed me back..... got sold two weeks later.

Thinking I should just get a mustang......
Unfortunately Ford has the same issues as GM with computer silicon shortage and has slowed the production on most their cars, I'm not sure if pricing will be any better if you compared pricing before the shortage and now on the Mustang.

As far as your offer to the dealer, I would have done the same thing as he did. If the market is high on the car and you offer a really low price why should he waste time on it when you're so far apart on a deal. I've done the same thing selling my cars on a private sales in the past, I just tell them good luck with your search and move on to the next offer that is acceptable.

I hope you find one soon. Your best bet at this point (if you don't want to pay the higher prices) is wait it out. Once this shortage has past prices will stabilize again and you will find your car at a better price point.

Prices are crazy for anything right now. Check out the price of f-body’s. I nearly fell down.

I just got a quote from Carvana for my '16 2SS, $30,500 with 29,500 miles. I paid $30,800 for it 3 years ago with 12,000 miles on it. Not bad, $300 cost for 3 years of use and 17,500 miles! I'm not selling but was just curious.

I purchased my car just this past summer and I could make thousands if I were to sell. Granted, I did get it at a great price... but still insane. I've been debating this the past several weeks. The issue is finding another car (at a great price) that I would be satisfied with.

This is the general 'fallacy' of owning things that appreciate in value. Yes, you may be able to sell the one you own and potentially make money, but how are you going to replace it? The one you buy to backfill it is going to have appreciated similarly in value.

The only way to actually walk away with cash and a replacement is to buy something 'less' that what you sold.

I am definitely keeping my 2017 SS2..... Prices on used ZL1's with A10 are stupid....

This is a short term significant bubble in the used car market (not just Camaros, but all cars) for reasons already described in this thread that will pop probably by Q3-Q4 of this year, then prices will be back down to 2019 levels. So if you sell and immediately buy, you'll sell high, but also buy high. If you sell and wait for 6 - 9 months to buy, you'll sell high and buy low.

Gee, remember all the doom and gloom when dealer inventories were two, three, four months worth of sales just sitting on lots?...lol...Production was predicted to stop any day then and stop for good....lol...Ah, the good old days.

Pretty ironic that the Camaro line is now down and customers are left out. Get one as soon as you can...The next excuse on the list for not making them is right around the corner....Good luck.

Or sell and sit without a toy car for a bit, until things settle down with pricing.

Yes, exactly. This is what I am predicting to happen.
