I like lethal garage but just take a look at how many times he has been completely and utterly wrong about GM rumors. Grain of salt.

Yeah I wouldn’t expect it to be put in a 6gen by the factory.

So was LS7 (in C6 Z06 before it became wet-sumped and was put in Z/28. So was LT4 (in C7 Z06 before it became wet-sumped and was put in our ZL1s). That being said, I too very much doubt GM would spend all the money and resources required to certify LT5 in a Camaro (which would certainly sell very few units. I’d guess 500ish if they were lucky. It would be a VERY expensive car to build and sell). I certainly hope they do it but I’d be extremely surprised if the bean counters would allow it

GM has pulled the LT5 off the production line, and aftermarket parts bin, never to be in production again with all the EPA crap going on, the LT4 will be the last 6.2 supercharged I imagine, smaller motors and turbos or smaller NA is what the public will receive. I'm just glad I have the LT4.

I'd be happy if it just receives the CTSV upgrades. GM doesn't appear to want to spend any money on the Camaro aside from graphics and paint.
