Too loud. Too raspy.

If I could change one thing on my car, it would be the exhaust sound. It's too damn loud for my taste. I prefer a deep rumble that you get from a chambered flowmaster muffler, but I dont want to lose substantial power or create unwanted back pressure.

I have TSP 2 inch headers with 3 bolt flanges welded on. Then I had my exhaust guy Rob, fab up 3 inch piping to a true 3 inch X merge, then 3 inch all the way back to Magnaflow straight through mufflers, 3inch in/out.

I can't think of a system that would flow better, besides open headers or cut outs, so any change I make, I will likely lose a few HP. But I'm ok with that if I can quiet it down by a good amount.

I fish quite often out of Port Everglades inlet and leaving that house on saturday mornings at 4am is impossible in my car.

Looking for recommendations for Mufflers and or resonators (must be true 3inch all the way), to quiet things down. The more quiet the better.

Sounds clips would be great.

Magna flow makes a resonated x pipe , has glass mat packing. I would give that a try

yup, magnaflow resonated x-pipe will help...the opinion seems to be a 20-30% drop in volume (and less drone, if that's an issue for you). Otherwise you could add hi-flow cats, and switch to borla "touring" mufflers.

Try bullet resonators

Dynomax has a 3” x pipe muffler but I think it’s pretty long

An option for you might be a more stock exhaust from the header back with cutouts. I have a2.5 catback with borla ataks and it is not too bad once just cruising down the road but it is mighty loud on startup. Once warmed up it idles tame and under light throttle it is tame.

That might not fit in the center tunnel. The one that fits is a 4x9 muffler and that’s 5x11 lol that’s a big muffler

The magnaflow resonated x pipe that fits in the tunnel is a 2.5” unit about 14” long. I used it once and it does cut volume by 30%. I now have the magnaflow 3” competition catback. I have shorty headers and a stage one cam so the sound is good. I did have hiflows and it was just a bit louder with those. The catback does have a bit of boom and drone, but fabbed up some j pipes and killed the drone and boomy sound from the 3” pipes. Sounds more clear now. And has the deep v8 rumble

I have the magnaflow competition catback which is a resonated x pipe and straight pipes. Its fairly quiet and has a deep tone. It's pretty loud on cold starts though.

I have the 3" Magnaflow resonated X-pipe since I was like you and wanted less restriction. It's a big muffler, doesn't fit with a tunnel brace, and will be your lowest point on your car. I had a 1" drop and I scraped it a lot so I adjusted my coilovers and raised it to like a 3/4" drop and it's much better.

I think if you have a really good exhaust guy you might be able to angle it upwards a bit for more clearance without getting too close to the driveshaft.

It does cut down the volume/drone by a good amount though. No regrets.

Also just noticed you've got the longer version linked, there's a 24" version that I have: https://www.magnaflow.com/products/1...rmance-muffler
