Swap ZL1 Wheels for 1LE Wheels? Just thinking....
Just wondering. Im looking to get a ZL1 17 to 18. I really don't care for the "fin" type of wheels they come with.
Is there anyone who would swap their 1LE wheels for the ZL1 Wheels? I imagine it would be direct bolt on? This is only a thought! |

Not going to happen as a straight up trade. IMO the 1LE wheels are about one of best looking wheels out there next to the C5 Z28 wheels. Where as the ZL1 wheels are fugly

Agree with the others. The 1LE wheel is better looking than most aftermarket wheels. I doubt you will get any takers on that one. But it doesn't hurt to ask.

I've gotten in a few funny arguements over my car being stock as well. Usually it's the good wrap, brakes, and/or wheels

I like the ZL1 wheels, but I wouldn't trade mine for them

Comparing ZL1 wheels to SS 1LE wheels is like comparing C6 ZR1 wheels to Centennial wheels. ZR1 wheels look pretty nice, but not as good as the Centennial wheels that came on the C6 Z06/ZR1/427 Vert/C7 GS.
The SLE wheels are pimp tight, and run what you like, but the bad thing about everyone wanting to run them is they're going to get played out like the old Mudstain wheels. Remember 95 Cobra R's, Bullitt's, FR500's. C4 ZR1 and C5Z wheels got a little too common on the GEN4's. These wheels looked good on these cars, they were just what most who changed wheels ran on them. There doesn't seem to be a very good non-OEM wheel that looks really good on the retro Camaro's. I'm sure they're out there I just can't think of any off the top of my head. Maybe something from CCW, HRE, Vossen, Rushforth, Fikse, etc. You might even come out cheaper with some aftermarket forged wheels than real SS 1LE wheels. |

Buuuut, if I had my choice...a 19" version of the SS 1LE would be perfect...
