Anyone know what happened to this solution? Or if Yenko is still around? He mentioned he was selling a solution

Has it been proven that the other airbags won't deploy if the airbag light is triggered as a result of swapping for an aftermarket seat?

this sucks. we need a solution or at least a solid confirmation that airbag will deploy in an accident. makes no sense since the OEM seat belts wont be in use, the airbag will not deploy. had this happen in another car, i got t-boned from the side, no seat belt in use: airbags never deployed. not the same car but something to think about...

There is a zl1 1LE with race seats and roll bar setup that recently wrecked on track, it appears that all airbags went off in the accident. I will try to find photos.

Looks like both curtains came down, but steering wheel and passenger did not. (Not that you want an airbag going off with a helmet and hans anyway).

The damage was on both sides of the vehicle, so maybe the accident did not trigger the steering wheel and dash airbags

Why wouldn't you want air bag going off with helmet on? FIA tests all helmet types for airbag interactions. Fyi.

Apologies for bringing this back from the dead... but has anyone sorted this out yet? The right OHM resistor for the airbag sensor and then moving the position sensor over from the OE seat to the aftermarket seat all makes sense to me. That said, I haven't read any seat related thread yet where anyone has done it successfully.

Bueller??

Hi,

Sorry if I've missed it in this thread or elsewhere: Is anyone swapping out a race seat for track days and running the OEM seat elsewhere? If so, how did it work? Thanks!

Removing the seat easy, takes 2 min removing the seat belt is annoying and for me took what seemed like forever definitely not worth it
