Wheels and Tires Mounted!!!!!!!
Alright everybody....
Wheels and tires are mounted...... Not a huge difference in look from the side, but almost 3 inches wider than stock in front and just over 1/2 inch more in rear. It's a subtle change, but I am digging it!!!!! Cannot wait to see how she handles!!! |

I've got 19x10.5" et 22 with 305 BFG Rivals on all 4 corners. While nothing rubs on an otherwise stock car, they do poke a fair amount. For an autox/track only setup it's not an issue. You may want to look at getting a set of splash guards to protect the rear three quarters from rocks. Even in the couple of times I've used these 305s it has done a number on my rocker panel/fender.
I just picked these up. We'll see how they work whenever everything gets going again. https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item...rds---stealth/

Good info to know. I was wondering how much spray I would get. I'll be ordering a set of those splash guards today!

Glamcem has a set up 18x10s posted in the forsale thread right now that would probably be your best option.
Tires are waay cheaper and easier to find in a 18" setup Actually now I realized it looks like you already have wheels.... My bad Last edited by That1guy_tim; 04-03-2020 at 08:35 AM. Reason: didn't read whole post |

no problem. I first posted a while ago. I'm happy with my setup and tires aren't bad. Especially since I am running the OE setup for the SS ZL1.

Probably the best guidance for wheel fitment that I have found, particularly for the 1LE. They have a link to a lot of pictures also

Yeah that Apex fitment page is really impressive. Makes me want to buy wheels from them.

Right, I do not see the pics either. Very interested to see how that rear fitment looks. I have driven the 2.0T (non 1LE), and found it a ridiculous amount of fun to throw around. Nice balance, the 2.0T is fun to wind up. I would likely have more fun in the 2.0T 1LE on a track day than I would in my SS. The SS is way above my skill set, and I know it. A ton more exciting to feel like you are wringing every ounce out of the machine rather than worrying about getting bit by the monster. What a fantastic choice you have made with that car! |
