Rattles

The rattling in this car has gotten bad recently. The rear deck constantly rattles from either the stereo, exhaust, and every crack or dime or hill or decline in the road. Not to mention the doors from the stereo. Should I just have the dealer put in foam everywhere?

Or you can just trade it in for a luxury car, something a Camaro is NOT!

I suppose. Just pretty sad that the rear deck rattles so badly in 15k miles.

That was all sarcasm, I have the same issue, I also have a rattle at the steering column that I plan on taking to the dealer to fix, I've heard it's a loose cable that goes under the hood but have yet to look at any of those things.

All I have is a left side vent rattle. Is your’s a daily driver? Are your roads pretty rough?

Hi. Sorry to hear you are having problems like that on a basically brand new car. I would just return to the dealer and have it all dealt with under warranty. At least you will have it documented if you want to pursue further action later. They get 3 attempts to fix a problem. Then you can pursue lemon law, if it can't be resolved thru the dealer and GM.

Hahahahaha yeah the roads SUCK here. I often have to go far below the speed limit just to not mess up the suspension. It seriously pisses me off every day they can't make a flat road here

Yeah they have already replaced my entire exhaust because it was cracked. Only a couple months later and that issue has presented itself again. On top of that, no one can hear me over a bluetooth phone call and 2 different dealers can only say they cannot replicate it.

Fortunately, rear deck rattles are relatively easy to diagnose and fix because you don't have to remove trim panels to access it. What you should do is have someone else drive. Drop the rear seats and wear a head lamp, and lay down face up looking at the rear deck from underneath. You can see everything. Feel around, press, see if you can get it to stop happening. You may just find the rattle and be able to fix it yourself.

The rear deck rattle is the only one I have, but it is annoying. I have tried to look under there but all I see are metal cross bars and speaker magnetic poking down.

I read somewhere on here a while ago what was causing it, but I haven't been able to find that thread. It is something I definitely want to fix though.

Melbourne, FL. Broke city so potholes everywhere. They can't make new roads here flat. It's sad. How do they not make it flat when they repave it...I can't even drive in Palm Bay at all because of how bad it is there
