The LS3 is being replaced by the LT1. It's the next generation 6.2 liter.

The problem aluminum is its a body man's nightmare for repair unless just completely replacing the whole panel meaning more expense. My sources confirm to same 2 base engines but the v8 will be upgraded for a little more HP, but the V6 will have a twin turbo option putting out about 400hp. Even without the TT v6 option performance increase will be substantial because of the 200+ weight loss. I estimate all cars to be running stock mid 13s and below. The TT probably hi 12s, V8 probably low to mid 12s. Not to mention the z/28 or ZL1. Don't know about them.

What are the odds there will be an AWD option?

The ATS has it.

This next gen? Zero.

In the future? In order maintain ever growing demands on performance gains, AWD,either mechanical or virtual, will have to be at least looked into eventually. Especially once electrification of most vehicles takes place. Look at the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 hybrids. The tech developed by supercars always trickles down. . . Eventually.

only a few questions:
1. Did Chevy/GM sponsor Transformers 4 movie in ANY way, shape, or form?
2. Is there a new-looking Camaro in it?
3. Do you believe they won't sell and ALMOST IDENTICAL TRANSFORMERS EDITION 2016 CAMARO?
Yah wanna see 2016 Camaro, go see the movie.

Certainly.

Because we know you can't make decent power with a turbocharged six.

Oh Snap.

OK, the Vsport engine makes more torque than HP, and they are only running the HP peak at 5,700. You can spin freakin diesels faster than that.

It's 10.2 CR. Certainly needs improvement there.

Cadillac has to have smooth, refined power. That is not necessarily the case with a Camaro.

Drop the CR to 9:1, increase the turbo size, and the engine will spin no matter what.

It's 420HP on 12psig. That's not even 1 bar boost. Pathetic. A bump to 18psig would be good for >510HP and would force the redline up at least a grand. So add other 100HP, or 610HP on tap with only a 7000rpm redline and 6800 rpm peak HP.

The CTS with the turbo six is already as quick as the SS auto. Just bump the charger size, leave the TQ to about 480, and it would smoke the ZL-1's pretty easy without even changing the driveline much.
