Roto Fab for ZLE

Before I pull the trigger on a Roto Fab CAI, which filter should I go with for the LT4 Dry or Oiled?, I am doing mods to my 19 ZLE which will include the CAI, Power stop brake pads and the last thing will be Cat back AWE, thanks for any input.

Must not have ever driven on track or even high speed pulls then. The Power stop are absolute JUNK! I have a cabinet full of pads for this car, and they are by far the worst POS ever created for these cars... Next place for worst pad is the Hawk Ceramic.

Friends (with fast cars) dont let friends drive on ceramics.

I think he was talking about dry vs oiled, which was the point of the thread.

In reference to Power Stop pads, I use mine for tooling around with the old lady so I don't pull my hair out trying to keep the wheels clean. Anytime I head to the track or the mountains, I put on the stock pads and wheels/tires.

The moment he included his planned mods in the post it was fair game to comment about them.

Regarding the dust, I hear you on that. Ceramic coating the wheels makes a world of difference with regards to the dust. Like you said, you dont hammer the car on the street.

To the OP... I GUARANTEE you that if you put on those powerstops... the first time you do a real pull and then go for the brakes you will likely yell out loud "HOLY SHIT" and it wont be in a good way... then hopefully you immediately remember this warning.

The ceramic pads are NOT up to the task of the weight and horsepower of a ZL1. No matter what anyone tells you.

Good luck.

Most people don't realize is that there is a big difference between ceramic and ceramic/carbon fiber pads, I had the latter on my 17 1SS and they were better when it was wet, just for the record I did not mention anything about using the power stops for track, that's why I usually save the stock pads for that purpose, I do know my limitations when it comes to driving, granted ever since I got this ZLE I have KIDS try to test me, I will never fall for that BS or ruin my car because of their stupidity, this has already happened right after I got it, I just told the individual that he can go buy his own ZLE and leave mine out of the picture, I bought this car to enjoy and not for the enjoyment of others or others to say what suggestions they say I should do in regards to driving it, bottom line is that I don't like brake dust because in the long run it plays hell on both the tires and wheels, lets keep this thread from becoming a pissing match unless whoever has facts that back up their stories, and usually pics also play a big part not just forth or fifth hand here say.

JonDaddy82 got it right, I was talking strictly about the RF filters, oiled vs dry. Sorry about being too terse.

As to brake pads, there's no way I'd give up the Ferodos. I don't give a **** about brake dust, my wheels are ceramic coated and a little elbow grease is no problem—besides, cleaning wheels is therapeutic

OEM pads or Ferrodo is my recommendation. G-Loc if you actually plan to track it. But the OEM frankly work 'pretty darn good' on the track as well.

Best regards,
Dave
