Odds of 2017 Camaros getting 20% off tags next year??

Im getting nervous. I missed all the deals on the 2016, and frankly Im not ready to buy yet. I was thinking of waiting until next year this time, hoping that chevy will again roll out the big discounts to move the 17s before the 18s are in full force. But now that chevy is halting the 3rd shift production runs and laying off people, it seems they are fine tuning production to match current sales.

Does this mean that stock will be far less going forward, and we wont see the same discount behavior from GM this time next year? Im very sad for those people that lost their jobs. Dont get me wrong. But it looks like GM has gotten wise and will probably not be in a position where they need to put out such heavy discounts next year.

Am I wrong in thinking this?? What are the opinions on this?

I'm in the same boat. I'm hoping there are discounts next year. I'm not ready to buy until we get past the bad winter weather.

I didn't buy a 2016 because I don't like buying the first year model of a new generation.

Exactly. There were lots of issues I heard about too. So Im ok with waiting, but I dont want to pay $12k more for it.

I got 12.5% off on my 2017 1ss. $5k off of a $40k. There will be deals but maybe not as good as the 16's. A friend of mine got around 26% off of a 2016 2ss.

Best you could hope for is to walk in on a holiday weekend, July 4, Labor Day, and hit em for a Red Tag- holiday sale like I did. Walked in on Labor Day and got a 2SS stickered at $47,500, for $38,500, was a no brainer. Jus be deligent.

Sales on ALL cars have declined over the last few months, I think you'll see incentives next year... and if the decline continues... Lots of them
