How do you tell manufacture date from the VIN?

Google gives me two different answers and neither one match up with my vin.

The 10th digit is year so G is 2016 but what digit is month? Some places say 9 and some say 7 ... well 7 and 9 on my car don't seem to match a standard listed sooo

There is no build date information in the VIN. 2017 cars built this year will show 2017 in the VIN.

I don't know if the Camaro has the same formatting for the tire pressure, weight rating label, but you can check there. It will usually show month/year.

PM SENT.

That label that Bahama Todd posted would have that build date on it. Just month and year. If you want specifics, your dealer can pull that with a VIS report.

Cadillac builds are included in that sequence.

Yup. All the alpha cars are coming down the same line and the sequence number counts the vehicles coming off the line no matter the model.
