So it's a matter of break-in? So if he were to buy the car in state then emissions is assumed and no check is necessary but since he bought it out of state it needs some break-in to before it will pass. How long after bringing a car into CA does it have to be smog checked?

As you can see I have NEVER dealt with smog checks!

Supposedly something like 20 days from the day it enters CA.

You have 30 days to get your car registered in CA, and to register it you need a smog.

Turns out, the magic number for the O2 Sensor system is 500 miles. Mine finally completed at 509 miles.

Did you guys find out how to do the evap reading to finish up?? Im comfused with the comment above, if you guys done it can you be more specific??
