After my 2017 2SS was totaled....presenting its replacement, the HotWheels Edition!

Hey guys, as you know a while back, I was the victim of a douchebag running a red light and totaling my car. Long story short, needed something fun, eyes were on a C7, but here are the things that made me stick with the camaro, and ill be happy to hear other peoples thoughts. Also, enjoy these shots of my new ride . Also cherry on the top, turned out to be a great graduation gift!!

1. C7 did not have blind spot monitor
2. C7 M7 felt trickier than the M6 on the 6th gen, specially the 7th gear.
3. Ambient lighting in the camaro is awesome, toggling through those different colors and show mode!! C7 has none!
4. C7 does not have park assist, no beeping while reversing or when you come closer to an object.
5. No heated steering wheel
6. Cupholders of the C7 are poorly designed.

Now with the above, I'm just being very narrow minded, things that were good on the C7

1. Front Camera
2. Better handling
3. Felt faster
4. Looks better and will probably get you more compliments (this is subjective)
5. Has electric power steering (Camaro you have to adjust it manually)
6. Has better visibility.

I’m alittle confused… doesn’t the Camaro also have electric power steering?

Congrats, this is quite the graduation gift Hope you'll be able to enjoy this beauty a lot longer. I sat in one of these 2018 HW editions and it's full of these small special touches, it's a really great looking unit.

Re your list of minor shortcomings,
#1 is fixable in a spectacularly close-to-OEM way,
#2 you can tangibly improve by upgrading to 1LE wheels and better tires,
#3 is true, the Vette is lighter, but of course you have options,
#4 I'm not sure about, a Hot Wheels Camaro is much more rare,
#5 I don't understand, the Camaro also has electric power steering that can be configured via drive modes or manually, and
#6 bringing up visibility vs a Corvette, no less, is ultra moot

(...that license plate frame tho )

I'm sorrry about the confusion, what I meant was in the C7 you have power tilt steering column, which I assume could also be added in the memory settings of the driver while in the camaro its more of the manual way where you pull down a lever and manually adjust the steering column.

sorry about #5, what I meant was the power tilt steering column, which in the camaro, you have to pull a lever and then adjust the position, which i think cannot be saved into the driver memory settings? Just like to nitpick . Although, whenever you give your car away for service or at the tire shop and someone else drives it and changes your setttings for the seat + mirrors + steering column, thats the only scenario where it would be helpful! Also thank you!! The small attention to detail in the HW edition is awesome! The orange stitching everywhere combined with the Suede/Alcantara inserts!!

Is your rear spoiler wrapped or was it painted black? I have the same car and I like the look of the black spoiler better.
