Convertible rear seat removal
Would anyone with a vert know how to remove the rear seat? I can get the seat bottom out no problem but I can't seem to find a way to remove the seat back. Thanks for any help.

The service manual says (after you remove the bottom seat cushion):
1. Using a flat bladed tool, release the seat back retainers through the access holes located between the seat back cushion and the rear end trim finish upper panel. 2. Fold the seat back cushion down and line up the flats on the hinge pins with the slots on the hinges. 3. Pull the seat back cushion upward to remove it from the vehicle. It appears there are two retainers and they are located at the top rear of the seat back cushion, each one is centered on the left or right seat. Hope that makes sense.

Like was said above the two retainers are about 6-8" in on the top of the seat, I used my fingers to pull the seat forward and stuck a flat head screwdriver in to pop the retainers. There is a good thread with pics and a vid for the removal if you search "sports bar".
Good luck |
