full ZL1 brake conversion

I might be getting a set of take off ZL1 brakes front and rear. I will be getting the rotors and calipers with pads only. what else would i need. the rear rotors are bigger than the stock SS rotors.

Just need rotors, calipers, and pads for all 4 corners.

i know i will also need backing plates for the front. dont know about the rears. the rear rotors are bigger on the zl1

Ah, yeah dust shields on all 4 corners as well if running those.

For those of us who have done it:

Front: Rotors, Calipers, Flex Hoses, Dust Shields, Pads
Rear: Rotors, Calipers, Pads

On the rear, the flex hoses and dust shields are the same as the SS 1LE.

so it does require hoses? i just have a SS not a 1le.

This

I was able to temporarily use my original front SS flex lines with my 1LE takeoff's by removing the bolt that attaches the hose to the strut. Got the correct hoses from GMPartsdirect for around 12 bucks each.

OP, did you pick up the ZL1 calipers & rotors that were advertised for $650 in the members classifieds? If so, I'm jealous. I had just picked up some 1LE takeoff's for $1500 and thought I did pretty well until I saw those!
