Everyone here daily drive their 1LE??? - Page 6

I bought mine 2018 1SS 1LE in May 2018 and have 18,000 miles as of today on it.

I try not to drive the car when there is a threat of rain or if the high temperature for the day doesn't get over 32 degrees.

I drove my car to and from 2 track days at Charlotte Motor Speedway and am about to do so again in a couple of weeks and I also drove down to Sebring last month and ran a track day and drove the car back and thus far everything has been great.

Next week will be one year with my 2018 SS 1LE. I'm right at 18,000 miles. I drive the kids (three of them) to school five days a week and I commute to work 3 days a week. I also watch the temp, though rain hasn't presented an issue yet as long as I take that into account.

My car is kept in a garage. I've noticed on colder days (by Atlanta standards). The tire's will show normal temperature when I leave the garage, will dip down to 'Cool' then relatively quickly warm back up and register as 'Normal' again. I've only seen the temperature indicator say 'Cold' twice. Once when I left it parked outside at work on a cold day, and once when I was up in the TN mountains and it dipped pretty low that night. In both cases the temp returned to 'Cool' then later 'Normal' just due to driving and warming up the tires. I never noticed any damage from that, though I could tell they were 'slippery' when cold.

Strictly weekend car.. might take it to work once or twice a month

3 hour road trip was the longest i’ve driven it

first oil change was today after close to 11 months (not tracking it)

Just hit 4,100 miles

Just hit 4,100 miles

My ride home from the dealer was more than three hours.

First oil change was after about a month or so, and 1100 miles.

I hate to say this but 1LE, to me, is a terrible daily driver. Why? Because the engine and the entire car feels "caged" during the constant stop 'n go traffic.

That is why I don't daily my 1LE. Oh, and I'm average 14 MPG so you know I'm enjoying it when I do drive it on the weekends. LOL.

That's pretty good. My life time average MPH since new to now is 12.7

It's more fun to drive in traffic with the Corsa Extreme+ exhaust, BTW

I have owned my 17 1LE for 16 months now. Bought it with 4600 miles it just rolled 6000. I have never driven it to work (50 mile round trip commute)...yet. I have a 2001 Lincoln town car that I commute in. Honestly if our roads out here were better, I would drive it more. But the potholes (I already need an alignment) and rocks and sand of the non maintained roads make me leave it at home more than I want to. But I love driving it when I do. I envy the people who have well maintained cleaner roads!!
