2014 camaro LT pipe/resonator ?

Hi my camaro friends,

I’m needing help with an issue i habe with my v6 2014 camaro LT. Previous owners had done a resonator delete. I have put in some kind straight type resonators thought that help my issue. It did tone down the inside noise. But I want my outside noise back quiet or factory sound. What do I need to put in my car? It has factory mufflers. Someone said I needed a flow master resonator but I don’t want keep wasting money trying things. Please help me on what to put in my car to get it more quiet.. thank you in advance for any advice given..

sounds like you want the factory resonator.maybe theres one in a pick your part or auto recycling place close to you.should get a pic of the underside of your car so you will know what you are missing when you get there in case they hacked up other exhaust parts.i like the way mine sounds stock,have had my share of loud rides.

Is your Camaro an auto or a stick shift.. That's gonna decide which "stock" resonator you'll need to find.

I believe so, yes. Only difference is that the V6 is 2.25 and the V8 is 2.50 tubing, and the ZL1 is 2.75.. But don't quote me on that, I've been wrong before. lol.

Oh, and the tips are different, V6 is 3" and the V8 is 4"...

I have an automatic V6 car. Believe me I have search for one of these factory resonators near me. I can find one of the long box ones of the 1st picture but it came off a V8 auto. I was told it wouldn’t work on my car by Chevy dealer. But I thought that’s what I needed was the big resonator box one to get it back factory sound. Is there any other solution I can use even to get a much quieter tone?I hate this muffled sound.

So will the V8 bigger resonator work on my v6?

That second photo is something similar to what’s on my car now maybe called cherry bombs or something in that nature. I know nothing of exhaust system.

Yes I would to have factory back, I’d be satisfied with just a bit quieter. Havin trouble finding the factory resonator near me. Any other solutions I could use?

There's a product I've used from bigcity thunder. If they have one that are big enough, these work really well on both cars and motorcycles. Although intended for motorcycles, I had a set of borla atak catbacks on my chevy cruze, and put these inside the muffler tube. Tones it down quite a bit. Might not fit in the muffler itself, but could fit somewhere in the tube....

This is your other option. I had one on my Camaro back when it was straight piped and it knocked down the sound really nice. It is 2.5 tubing, but a good exhaust shop can make an adapter to fit them. Several folks are running them.

DO YOU KNOW IF A BIG RESONATOR FROM A V8 WOULD FIT MY CAR? I HAVE FOUND A COUPLE OF THEM.
