Removing Paddle Shifters

Alright folks, this may sound like a crazy idea, but I hate the paddle shifters. I use the Camaro as a daily driver in heavy traffic, and I'm constantly hitting them with my fingers. And I'm way too old to learn how to shift with them, so no need for them to be in the way.

So, is there an easy way to remove them?

Although I enjoy using a dremel, I think the next guy might want them.

Disconnect batt
Remove airbag
Remove wheel garnish, disconnect switches
Remove steering nut
Pull wheel
Remove paddles
Reverse procedure

I did it on a c7 wheel last year.

This is a great idea. I may do it too. Glen, was a puller needed to get wheel off?
