After 16 year break, I did this today.
Hard to believe, but after owning a ‘95 Z28, than a 2001 SS (sold in 2005) I am giddy to be back in a Camaro. I bought a lightly used (6,300 miles) 2020 Shadow Gray Metallic ZL1 M6 Vert today. She’s stunning.
I’ve driven a few gen 6 Camaros (rentals) but never a ZL1...not even the one I just bought, and due to the frigid snowy weather here in the Chciago area, it might be mid March before I get her home (dealer is storing it indoors). I’m coming out of a Z06 so I know and love this engine. Hardly a mod, but after talking to a trusted Camaro friend I’ve got the dealer installing Continental Extreme Contact Sports because this will be my DD from April to early November. Can’t wait to get her home. |

Nice!!! Congratulations & Welcome Back to the Camaro family!
Lots of great people on the Camaro6 forum. I bought my first ever Camaro in 2019 and have lots of great input on this forum. BTW, nice garage and car collection. |

Congratulations and welcome to the ZL1 club here in the forum. You will enjoy that beast of a Camaro. Nothing wrong with the Continentals either. Very good performance tires!

Thx. It was a recommended toss up between the Conti’s and the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, and I had the Michelin’s on my Z06 and they were sketchy when it got wet and chilly. The Conti’s came more highly recommended so I’m rolling the dice. Anything should be better than the stock Eagle F1’s. They’ll never see below 40’s intentionally or snow, so just looking for a bit more flexibility.

OP is a model of self-control. I'm pretty sure I'd be driving it in the snow.

That's awesome! As a fourth to sixth gen owner myself, I can say it's a wonderful move. I miss the T-Tops, but you're gonna love it. Congrats!
