I would go color matched.
I think Gary's custom here on the boards sells them finished, you install. Install will take about 2hrs the first time. Jack & two stands is all you need.

Go color matched, order one from Garys customs...install it yourself and pay way way less than $500+. Could probably get it painted and shipped for about 350 to 370 from him.
and no its not "cheaping out".

for a black camaro, would you let it stock grey/black-isch or would you still paint it gloss black? are their good pics with a black unpainted and painted?

Clear coating will give it a glossy look. It depends if you want a matte or gloss look

Buy a standard heritage grille and check around in your area for a paint shop that will paint it for you. It's probably going to be cheaper than buying a painted one from GM.
You should be able to find one that will paint it for $100-150. |
