Great replies everyone, I actually just got a set of Shorty American Racing Headers. go to their webpage to see the video on them. I have not even taken them out of the box yet. I am a little hesitant to install them on my own. Does anyone have experience installing Shorties on the LS3? Do I need to get it in the air? Any input would be appreciated. Follow the link below to check these babies out.

Anyway, after you heat cycle it a few times, you need to retorque. Retorque AFTER the motor has cooled. Check for exhaust leaks every now and again. The best time/way to do so is on a cold start with the hood up. Have someone else start the motor and look/listen. A leak will sound like a lifter tapping (think broken sewing machine). You can also sometimes see smoke on a cold start and a leak should leave a carbon deposit after a while. Just something to keep in mind.

I'm not totally useless..

Excellent! How much? Might just take my DT's off if the price is right. Is there a ceramic coat option?

So, basically anything we do is a red flag. Might as well break all the rules if you're gonna break one when it comes to smog and stuff. Go LT (ARH, Dynatech, Kooks, etc) or go with shorties (ARH, DT, JBA) and high flow cats.

cats then you're back to where you started. Illegal. If you run stock cats and its been proven shorty headers make no more power than stock manifolds,How does one justify the 1,095.00 price tag? What makes these headers (which are not tuned) cost two to three times more than other shortys?

Ever notice how when something negative is said about a new product
or you need a couple question answered about performance or why the ITEM IS PRICED THREE TIMES TOO HIGH the thread dies and nobody wants to talk about it any longer...Why does this happen? Where did you go ARH?
