I'd rather hear that than the annoying buzz of a ricer holding the car in first gear all the way down the block. Angry bees need to stay in their hive not live inside of your exhaust.

Popping/backfire sounds just feel and sound wrong to me. Like the car is not either tuned or working correctly.

One of the first things I wanted to do and later did, was get rid of the stock muffler. The ricers can pop and crackle to their heart's content. It isn't an attractive sound coming out of any car.

Regarding the OP's ticket....IMAGINE back in the National 55 MPH speed limit days!!! It was a near living hell.

Fifty Five MPH in rural America. ENDLESS, nearly abandoned Interstates in WY,MT,ND,SD, UT,NM, etc...etc. And there You are.....At fifty five. So slow it looks as if one can jog next to the car.

In the rural States accident figures started to show FATALITIES from drivers falling asleep in broad daylight on a long trip. We had them here in Montana all the time.

A 550 mile trip will take You TEN hours at 55. TODAY even at 70 MPH that 550 trip is now UNDER eight hours. And in States with an 80 MPH limit..... Under SEVEN hours.

It could always be worse.

Tune the car for hp, it will eliminate backfires, specifically if you are tuned for e85. From what I understand, e85 tunes eliminate the effect altogether.

I don't like it either. I don't think we are in the minority.

I like the cracking and popping and wish my ZL1 had more like the 2016 2SS I used to own!

I actually quite enjoy the burble, haven’t had a bad review of it yet. You can always use Tour mode if you have NPP or add an extra muffler or resonator if you don’t have NPP.

I don't believe that the non-npp exhaust makes the popping noise? The NPP completely changes the attitude/feel of the car IMO.

I thought it did still burble, just not as pronounced? My only non-npp comparisons are with the pre-19 tune versions.

The car I had test driven had absolutely no sound to it unless you stomped on it. I immediately hated it.
