New to Cars I own A 2017 Chevy Camaro LT 4cylinder . Read

Hey everyone I’m new to cars and I own a 2017 Chevy camaro LT 4 cyclinder. I really want to get to know a lot about my car, parts, and the basics. I feel like every time I’m trying to learn it’s just I don’t know what I’m reading about. So if anyone can help me get started on becoming an intelligent owner of the camaro . I’ll be glad to even pay for helping me understand want I need to know. Thank you!

Start with the owners manual. Often neglected piece of information that is underrated. Work out a basic maintenance plan and proceed from there.

Owners Manual, YouTube, and this forum will be great places to start. Also don't get discouraged when people think/say you shouldn't have a 4cyl Camaro. A car person is a car person for me no matter what you drive or what engine or transmission it has. Welcome!

Full agreement, those 4cyl turbos are slick and can easily make more power than they are rated with some simple/cheap mods.

Like mentioned above the owners manual is a good place to start. After that I'd recommend doing specific searches on here, and just asking specifics on what you're interested in

It honestly takes years to fully understand what's going on with cars, as far as mods and parts go. I would start simple with regular maintenance things, and understanding what they are and why they are needed. It'll be intimidating as there is tons of info on most every subject, but pick a youtuber or website, and stick with them.

How old are you & how much do you already know/ understand?

Do you know & understand the basics of the Otto 4-cycle engine? If not.. http://animatedengines.com/otto.html

Your engine has a turbocharger. Do you know & understand the basics of how a turbo works & why it increases engine output? If not.. https://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm

I’d look for a local camaro club and see if they have meets, go talk to some people that know and love these cars
