For those who seem to like facts....
2011-2017 stock Mustang GT are slower than stock 2016+ Camaro Do I really care... no, because I don't keep my car bone stock and 2011+ Mustang GT respond very well to bolts on. Now for those of you who stock performance is really important... The first 2018 GT's only arrived to dealers a month ago. Customer retail order start to be produced only this week. The majority will received their 2018 Mustang in 2-8 weeks then I guess half of them will have to wait like me a couple months before bring it to the track because of the winter. Even then with very few car having seen the track including maybe like 6-7 we are aware off, among those all ran low 12's 117-119.5 mph in -1000 to +1300 DA and already 1 of those car have is 6 run all in 11's with the most loaded heaviest 2018 GT trim with is best run in +300 400 DA!! In the meantine 5-7 camaro6g that we are aware off in 2 year have run less than 12.0 all stock. Many in avearage in much better DA. Does it look like that in stock form the 2018 Mustang GT is faster than a camaro6g ... well it certainly look like it! Does it destroy the Camaro.. hell no but... LOL

An SS in DA around 1000 will run bottom 12s to high 11s almost every time with a dead hook. I OWN ONE. but I never tracked it with stock tires. didn't have the patience. and on most nights...don't have the prep. but I did run 11.8 my very first time out in positive DA with tire and cai. 11.68 in negative DA. I take it you haven't launched a stock SS on stock tires? Without track prep like rental quality you wont be running above average times. I think you underestimate how hard it is. launch control wont get you crap for a 60 compared to without and a full throttle launch. that's one of the reasons I mention the rental thing. while yes plenty of times a regular night can have great prep. but also plenty of times not. so average times will be much lower on regular nights. Milan don't even use VHT other than the very beginning if it is just a normal test track night. if sportsman is running the prep is usually good. but I have had nights I cant even hook on a very aggressive DR on test and tune. cliff notes...the timeframe and average time argument is moot when every car is running on great prep, good air and good drivers etc. the average will be higher. your 12.3 estimate is way off...its a bottom of the list time. slower than average in fact. 12.1 is an average time for an SS. |

I think the same way for a camaro6 or any other car track rental. Again the pro driver argument with a automatic not for me. Now if Evan Smith had done the same with a manual now I would have say yes. I keep telling people that a m6 is always faster than a automatic without a aftermarket converter. This is just true do if the guy is a freak of a driver lol.

I've seen more than one person lie about their runs at the track. I've seen more than one Mustang magazine write some bullshit in an article. Plus with you guys saying an E85 tune isn't a mod I think I'm more than a bit skeptical to say the least.
