plus tax, tag and title. and NPP is really a must have for any enthusiast of this car and many won't drive stick so add an other $1495.
So, really it is, 37,295 + 895 (NPP) + 1495 (Auto) + 2311 (Tax, assuming 6%) + dealer fees, tag, etc. = $42,000+. You need a couple grand off to cover the tax plus a rebate or something to get you under 40K OTD on pretty much a base car. |

Well some states (...well...Oregon and a few others) don't have sales tax. So MSRP really is the only fair comparison since TTL rates vary wildly.
A "true" performance enthusiast won't necessarily get the NPP since they'd likely swap out the exhaust for a system of their choice. The transmission is an option, not a requirement that you're getting if you like it or not (unlike the built in RS package). For drag racing the cheapest and most ideal package is a 1SS A8, no NPP, no nothing else. That'll put you at just below 39,000 MSRP I believe. |

The mustang came almost close to exactly the same when you factor in features... remember someone pricing it out and comparing it to a 1ss and 2ss. |

Considering how awesome the 6th gen looks, lighter, more power is so on, any money spent is money well spent.

the Camaro was $565 36 months 10k miles per year the Challenger was $395 36 months 10k miles per year prices might be different where you live but thats what I got from my local Chevy and Dodge dealers, I know the Camaro is nice but not $150 more a month nice...not to mention the Challenger looks meaner and got more interior space not trying to hate on the Camaro I love both cars but the average buyer is going to lean toward the cheaper payment... |

This is true. Not to mention even among Pony car enthusiasts probably less than 1% of us take the car anywhere near its performance limits anyway.

The fun on the street is the gobs of torque that get you moving so effortlessly and the rumble of the exhaust note. Actually some of the lighter less powerful cars such as FRS or a Miata tend to be just as fun if not more since you can use more of their performance envelope on the street. |
