2019 1le splitter question
Got a 2019 ss1le a few weeks back and I noticed one side of my splitter is not sitting flush to the bumper cover life the other side. It looks like the dealer put a bunch of double stick tape in there.
Did this get installed incorrectly? it looks like there is some slots and tabs in there. Some pics or assistance would be helpful before I take it all apart. Thanks |

I would contact the dealer.
Warranty for manufacturing defect. You touch it you own it, dealer will blame you for any issue if you try to "fix" it yourself.

Only problem is my purchasing dealer is 300 miles away. I am hoping I can take it to my local dealer and have them take care of it via warranty.

Local dealer should work, too. Might make it easier if you mention the situation that you didn't notice it until after you were home. Dealers can either charge GM for the warranty work if it's an issue coming from the factory, or can sometimes even charge the selling dealer if it's something the other dealership did. I'd just make sure there aren't any witness marks on the front or underside that make it look like the splitter hit something and broke and/or popped out of position. That'd make it more difficult to have covered under warranty.
