Any A10 ZL1's swapped to 19's with a 305/30R19 Rear having issues due to tire height?
Just curious if anyone has noticed issues with timing or speedo/etc with the reduction in tire height in the rear on an A10 ZL1 or otherwise? Stock ride height is 27.2" but I've gone to APEX 19's and currently on 275/35R19 front and 295/35R19 rears (within 0.1" of oem height).
Considering swapping to Sport Cup 2's in 275/35R19 fronts and 305/30R19 rear, which APEX lists as compatible sizes, but wanted to be sure the 0.9" reduction in rear tire height wont cause any issues with the ECM/stabilitrak/A10 etc. |

no issues with 325/30-19 rear and 305/30-19 front here...the traction control light blinks for the first few seconds then it goes away. Make sure you run tire pressure sensors and synch them to the car after swapping.

Traction control will activate much sooner, but it will drive just fine. If you turn TC off or use Competitive mode, there will be zero change other than the speedo reading higher than your actual speed.

Is there a way to fix the speedo being off or are we just stuck with it when we change the factory rim size? I didn't know if there is a way of adjusting it or not.

Rim size doesn't matter, but I'm sure you meant tire diameter. The only way to fix it that I know of is to tune it. I only run a shorter tire when I run my drag radials at the strip, so it's not that big of a deal for me. Once I decide to start tuning the car, I may look to see if it's a simple change I could make just so my PDR data will be right.

What you are considering is a shorter tire in the rear than the front. This will throw the balanace of the car off and in my opinion look strange.
I think this is a bad idea. If going with 19” rim you should at least use a 325/30/19 so that you are close to the factory height. Also 275/35/19 will be a bit more narrow than factory fronts. |
