I had a 2014 Miata for awhile that one felt very similar chassis stiffness to this car. I suppose it is possible to make a stiffer chassis in a convertible but honestly I haven't driven anything better.
Is there any chance that something might be wrong with the car? It only had 22 miles on it, but did sit around for almost 50 days on the lot.

My stereo sound not only changes between raising or lowering the top but also when backing into or pulling out of the garage.

Im pleased with the stereo, my other car is a Nissan Titan with the fosgate system. This one sounds better overall. Could always be better, though The XM sounds much better than my wifes 14 Grand Cherokee but the Pandora app sounds muddied compared to XM / FM.

Anyone know why the convertibles get the block off plates in the lower grille but not the coupes? I assume to bring less air pressure inside the cabin maybe?

Jack stand procedure?

Checking in again, I'm going to try to do my CAGS eliminator this week, but haven't figured out how to put the car on stands, since the vert only has one set of pinch welds, surely someone has done this by now?

Thanx for any guidance,

joel

I used the area where the brace is bolted to the subframe. Worked fine. Jack in front of rear wheel drivers side - one jack on that side is fine. Easy.

But let me know how it works out. I installed one and it does nothing.

I'm installing my CAGS eliminator this weekend but no jacks: I bought a couple of Rhinoramps instead.

Just wondering if the windscreen is "locked" in any way when you leave it in place, parked with the top down? Could someone simply lift it off?

It's not locked.

It's more to the rear of the car. It's a 1 min jack job - takes less time than lining up Ramps and driving up them.

I put the jack stand under where the cross brace is bolted to the frame. Front and rear. I lowered the jack slowly and saw no sign of anything bending. Guess that will have to do.

The convertible lacks auxillary cooling that the coupe has, hence the block off plates.... Without coolers behind them it is an eye sore..... cosmetic reasons.....
