Thanks for the info. I never really thought about it until this thread popped up. It's good to know that they are LED's and not bulbs that will require replacing in the future.

I have a 2014 2ss, and a police officer thought my halo lights were my "Brights". So he flashed his brights at me and told me to turn them off... lol they are really bright

both the 2010 - 2013 and the 2014 Camaros have LED halos.

the 2010-2013 have 1 LED bulb to light the entire halo each side (2 LEDs total for car)

the 2014s have 4 LEDs, two LEDs on each HALVE of the halo, (8 LEDs total for car)

yes the 2014s are brighter, because there are more "bulbs" and a smaller circle for the light to encompass.

I have a 2012 SS. The factory halos are illuminated by a single LED at the bottom of the "circular-ish" light guide as mentioned earlier. I replaced the factory single LED with a brighter 3W LED. In the "Juice worth the squeeze" category, this was not one of those mods where the end result was worth all that effort and time. Anyways, here are a couple of pics of the 2012 (I would assume 2010-2013) LED and light guide assembly.

Actually they look much nicer than the oem color. Brighter and whiter. I would really like more info on how you did it.

So what exactly makes a light in the shape of a circle a real "Halo"?

You can't see the entire circle on the 10-13s either, so I don't see the "half" idea I am hearing here....

In the 10-13 headlights, the halo is nearly a complete ring (only open where the LED is located), as shown in the ring on the right:

And here is the 2014 LED circuit that produces the halo effect. It's broken up into "halves" but creates the illusion of being a complete halo once set behind the fascia.

Not to get off the topic, but could you show your spoiler BMT? I think you have the spoiler I wanted. I got the half stadium spoiler which suits me fine. It looks unique enough for my taste but yours is the one I really wanted.

I think its because its a "complete ring" as the 14's are actually 2 pieces. Not visible externally but up close you can tell. Now the 14's up close are not only 2 pieces but they're staggered as well. That's the reason why they give that PUG appearance and look too weird. .....you know when you look at the dog and the eyes are both facing outward........................................... you know what I mean....

Did something similar with mine. Except I found the manufacturer of the original white led, and changed out the white for a green. Worked out better that way, so no drilling a recess in the halo to fit that domed led.
