You ever feel like you drive it "too much"?

I drive to see my clients for work. It was a nice day. Yet, I didn't drive the car today. Instead, I took the Impala today.

My girlfriend said that I'm a nutcase...buying the car just to leave it in the garage. Little did she know that I put 1100 miles on it the first week. Two weeks later, there's 1109.

I just felt like I drove it too much for the month. Do you ever feel that way?

I feel bad when I drive my car with the top up. I bought my car to enjoy it.

If you're driving it at all, its not a garage queen, and the difference in price in 10 or 20 years from now on a car with 50k or 150k will be negligible.

Drive it man! No sense having a toy if it makes you stressed thinking about it.

Are you kidding?? I don't drive it enough! If I could re-engineer my house so that I could drive in it I would.

Phail, what you say is so true! I ran the KBB numbers on a 10-year old Camaro SS (think it was a vert) in excellent condition - the resale difference between having 30,000 miles and 60,000 miles on the odometer was something like $60.00. Yes, SIXTY US dollars!! :(

Me too SUX, but I'm paranoid about it getting worn out because of all the crappy (rusted) verts I used to drive 30 years ago when I couldn't afford a decent car - '71 Chevelle 307, '71 Cuda slant six, '71 Lemans 350 (frame broke). Something I need to get over, I know.

Nope, impossible. I was disapointed I didn't drive it today and yesterday. I was driving my Daily driver trying to get the ck engine light to come back on so that the garage has something to work with next monday. Anyways...I drive it when there is no rain in the forecast...which in Cbus...doesn't happen often.

No such thing as driving it too much... washing it too much, maybe

It's my daily driver for now, and even when i get my next Wrangler, the Camaro will still be my preferred ride.

Now that I have a DD I drive my SS just on my days off. I usually only go 150 to 200 miles a month now, since its almost paid off might as well keep it nice. If anything I think I drive it not enough.

Had mine for 3 weeks and put 600 miles on it. I feel guilty as hell doing that to it. However mine will only be driven for 6 months of the year. I originally hoped to put less than 3,000 miles per year on mine but its just to fun to drive.

Cool, I put my Camaro in storage last week and got my Wrangler out. Thought I'd take the top off but it is HOT here!

That's the spirit! I have never understood saving a car for someone else. If you bought it to enjoy it, then enjoy it! So what if it's worth a few thousand more on trade in later if you don't put miles on it? Me, I figure I'll enjoy it probably more than that few thousand dollars.
