Has anyone gotten a CTS-V Coupe?

Thinking about trading my Camaro in for one.

I just checked this one out the other day, its a beast! Hefty 71,000, but it's got "Cadillac" written on it... Maybe wait for ZL1.

Looked at one before I bought the Camaro, just couldn't justify the 72k for it!

Does a sedan count?

(See avatar)

My wife and I were talking the other day about how I might have waited for a ZL1 (after seeing one at CamaroFest2.) Tough call since the CTS-V powerplant is strong and sweet (and the ZL1 will be lighter and less "gadgety" than the CTS-V.)

2 coupes (with rear seats which are borderline useless-for-normal-sized-passengers) just would not have worked. So, we now have 1 sedan and 1 coupe. But with all the gadgets in the -V (the g-meter is pretty cool) I sure wish it had an oil temp gauge (like my wife's 2LT)

Spymasters wife has one.

I test drove one, not really that impressed with the 556hp. Seats were beyond amazing though.

I hope they improved on the paint, my 08 CTS paint is worse than the Camaros.

I traded in my 2010 2SS on a brand new Thunder Gray 2011 CTS V sedan back in March. It's a completely different animal. It's crazy fast right out of the box from GM (not that the Camaro isn't). It's a fun car, but it's like trying to compare apples to oranges when compared to the Camaro.

Jon, if you didn't get the opportunity to go WOT with the CTS-V; your missing the WOW factor... Plus huge difference between the A6 vs M6 in the CTS-V...

I've run the qtr mile with it (hush hush) and ran 12.1 at 118 mph and thats ALL STOCK.......................

I'm thinking you'd save a few $$$ if you waited for the ZL1....

But if you want it now, and don't mind giving up the Camaro's looks...the CTS-V is an awesome car. Haven't driven it myself - but I've yet to hear single bad thing about it!

I am sure the ZL1 will be the same, but the CTS-V is only a few thousand dollars from getting 600hp to the wheels. And as much as I love my Camaro, the SigmaII is a chassis without peer. It's like a Zeta that's tuned that much better. And it's hard to beat the V's wow factor. Just make sure you compare the Recaro to the base seats to your Camaro, and make sure you can live with it. Because the Camaro seats are much more comfortable than any CTS seats. That black diamond color Oh, and if you are in the midwest, there's a tuner who knows the V inside and out.

Sat in one about 2 months ago and man! That interior is just amazing. I'd still wait for ZL1 though.

The dealership gave me the car myself for 30 mins test drive. I thrashed it enough..lol gas mileage was in the single digits.

It was an A6 and was not geared like our C6 nor my wifes tuned Camaro. Just not as much fun to drive and did not have that insane hp kick that I personally like.
