Was wondering the same thing. My 2SS was built on 05-06-2010 and does not have the badges. I thought the dealer might have taken them off to make the car look cleaner. I'm kinda glad that I don't have them anyway. However I DO have the roller skate brakes on the front though.

because every chicklet cost money and with the number of cars built by GM if they deleted the cost of 2 chicklets per car they had a substantial cost savings for deleting something that is barely noticed and serves no real purpose.

The chicklets were installed on ALL North American GM vehicles from 2006-2009 (and early 2010 models). It was something Rick Wagoner wanted, as he thought it would bolster GM's image.

Needless to say one of the first decisions Ed Whitacre made post-bankruptcy was to get rid of the chicklet, as he wanted the focus on each individual division.

Hence, all Camaros produced BEFORE Ed Whitacre became CEO on Dec. 1, 2009 had the chicklet. It was about 2-3 months in that he asked they no longer be used. So, pretty much most Camaros built until about Feb. or March of 2010 had the chicklet, and then after that none of them do.

That goes for ALL GM cars and trucks.

Don't want to add more fuel to the fire but, my wife's 2009 Tahoe didn't come with chicklets. Maybe someone stole them before it left the lot?!?!

They stopped putting them on in SEP 2009... I bought mine in Nov 09 and it doesn't have the chicklet.
