Vapor-recovery gas nozzle gets stuck in gas filler neck

Although I never had this problem with my 2016 Camaro, in the first few thousand miles of driving my 2021 I've noticed that the California-style gas pump nozzles with the vapor recovery boot seem to have a tendency to get stuck in the capless filler neck. Costco nozzles have been a prime offender.

This happened last night at Costco where the handle was firmly stuck to the tank and I had to get one of the attendants to assist. Also, when this symptom occurs, it seems like the pump also tends to click off early before the tank is full.

Nothing special in the owner's manual other than what I would expect (put nozzle in and fill the tank!) Has anyone else experienced something like this? Any fixes or suggestions?

Yeah, this was brought up a few times in the forums, always in the context of CA gas stations as far as I can remember. There must be something else different about these pumps, since every filler handle has a boot of some kind... I have never been to CA, though, so it's possible I'm missing something (about CA gas pumps).

I have this happen quite often as well (I fuel at Costco also), I find rotating the nozzle and pulling and it will come out (never had it stuck where I've needed assistance), not sure what it is exactly catching on, but a couple times I got concerned I wasn't going to be able to get it out, but rotating seemed to help...
