How do I smoke these Supercar tires off???

Ok, not really... but kinda. But I got your attention! I'm no expert, but I've had my fair share of burning tires on a '96 Z28/T56 6sp. TC and ECS weren't what they are today so it was hella easier than this 1LE. I could break them loose, lightly hold the break to grip the front tires and have at it...

Everything I read states, for the most part, hold the TC button down for the 7 seconds and you're a free-bird. So whyyyyy does the car still bogg-out especially if I try to hold the break down??? I've also read a comment stating it's nearly impossible to do a burnout in a 1LE. What is it?! I've found that if the rear hops it does the bogg-out, which I can see as a safety feature to not blow the rear. But if I'm in a smooth spin then try to grip the front tires... whooomp... whoommp... whooommmpppppp....

Does the car think I'm trying to use launch control? But I'm not holding the gas to the floor...

I can't get past a whimpy 1st gear spin and I want a smoke show

Why didn't these 1LEs come with linelock??!!

I basically rev to over 4k, feather dump the clutch between 4-6k, break them loose, try to break-stand it, bogg-out. Always in Sport mode, 7 second hold all nannies off.

Haaalppp! Thanks!

heel toe.

hold tcs down until both yellow lights are on. heel toe. if the car is moving, at all, the inherent stabilitrak will still try to limit wheel speed ultimately killing your burnout. you initially can't let the car move, jump or bobble.

Ok. Full stop. Do the lights on the HUD give any indication that the spin is good or bad?? I haven't really put the two together yet, besides thinking green is slower wheel spin up to red being faster. But I was just driving it yesterday having this revelation that maybe it's indicating something else like a hop. Not sure if that makes sense outside of my brain in black and white, lol. I didn't try any burnouts, just hard pulls off stops and of course get some spin and seeing those lights in the HUD wondering what exactly they indicate if anything besides wheel speed.

by yellow lights i mean the tcs and stabilitrak lights on the dash. i think the lights on the hud are supposed to indicate engine speed and ultimately be a shift light. i only have speed and music up on mine.

I got ya on the TC and ECS lights on the dash. Just did a quick search on the HUD lights and they are shift lights but not always active. You gotta jump on it a bit to get those to light up. Just seemed like they only came on if the wheels spun. So there's that wrinkle in the brain for today
