Camaro LED headlights vs. Challenger HID headlights
Hi,
Looking at a 2022 ZL1. Just noticed it has LED headlights - something I have zero experience with. My 2015 Challenger Scat Pack had HID headlights and I never want to go back to regular halogens. How do the stock Camaro LED headlights compare to the HIDs in the Challenger (or other similar stock HIDs). Does anyone have night time pictures they can share? Thanks so much, Dan |

The ZL1 led lights seem to be as bright as the HID lights on my LT1 but lack the blueish tint and you can’t hear them. Both are very good but power consumption should be lower with the led and hopefully no bulb changes.

I thought the ZL1 retained its original HID headlights since 2017 along with the unchanged front fascia, only the SS and lower trims received LED upgrades. These HIDs are good, not the absolute brightest out there, but very good nevertheless, not even in the same ballpark as any halogen lamp.

Modern LED headlights are every bit as good as the older HID headlights... I had aftermarket HIDs on all of my cars, in the last year I have changed nearly all of them out for aftermarket LED headlights at the same or better brightness with a lot less wiring/ballasts, etc... I'll never go back to HIDs after having LEDs...
